The committee was also enriched by five new committee members:

• Dr S. Huber (Quantitative Economics, ASE);
• Dr. Ana Mićković (Accounting, ABS);
• Dr Almasa Sarabi (Leadership & Management, ABS);
• Dr Florian Wagener (Quantitative Economics, ASE);
• Dr Andrea Weihrauch (Marketing, ABS).

The Scientific Committee plays a crucial role within the A Sustainable Future initiative. The Committee discusses and selects the grant proposals that are eligible for funding by the ASF initiative and safeguards its standards for research quality. Together with the co-chairs, the Scientific Committee advises to the EB Dean and ABS and ASE research directors about the selected grants for each round (twice a year). The ASF Scientific Committee is currently composed of 18 faculty members from ABS and ASE. Read more about the current members.

A Sustainable Future (ASF) is a research platform integrating the Amsterdam School of Economics and the Amsterdam Business School research on key societal themes. The platform takes inspiration from the sustainability themes recommended by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). ASF aims to promote the broadest contribution of the business and economic scholarship to the achievement of the UN SDGs and address challenges to our future economic, social, and environmental balance. Networking sessions, joint seminars, calls for interdisciplinary research grants, and the promotion of outreach events are at the core of the ASF activities to foster UvA-EB sustainability research and its societal impact.
