Taehyun Lee is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Amsterdam Business School at the University of Amsterdam.
His research examines the sociocultural foundations of entrepreneurship, including how meaning systems affect the creation of and participation in markets, as well as how actors strategically construct and use cultural meanings to shape understandings of new markets and innovations. More broadly, he is interested in processes of emergence and change. Methodologically, he employs computational text analysis techniques and traditional qualitative methods to analyze archival and historical data, incorporating quantitative analysis when appropriate. Currently, he is exploring these research topics within contexts such as the sharing economy, the early concrete industry, and the Korean Minjung art movement.
At the University of Amsterdam, Dr. Lee coordinates and teaches courses related to entrepreneurship and digital technology at the undergraduate and master's levels. He also has teaching experience in the areas of strategic management and organizational behavior.
Dr. Lee received his doctorate from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College in the United States and his master's and bachelor's degrees from the Yonsei School of Business at Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea.
