Funding may be directed at:
- the purchase or gathering of data
- hiring research assistants
- research time for targeted research projects
- organising conferences or workshops
In addition, the programme may fund research time in the form of small teaching buyouts, whose use are to be discussed with section heads.
All grantees are expected to make brief presentation on their work progress and remain active in ASF initiatives.
After our call in Spring 2021, 8 research projects have been granted.
The ASF asked all grantees to upload a video presentation of their funded ASF project. The winner of the best ASF Video is created by Emma van Gerven, Sofija Pajic and Juliana Almeida. 'Employment integration is among the biggest challenges that refugees face in the host countries. Our research, granted by ASF, looks into the role of leadership and HR in supporting sustainable careers of workers with refugee backgrounds.'
